Douglas Peterson has been practicing law and advising private companies for more than 23 years across a variety of industries including environmental, biotech, life sciences, and real estate investment.
Douglas has represented private companies at many stages of development, including assisting start-ups like Investopedia and Swype, and has assisted other companies in transactions with Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft.
He currently lectures on international law, international business, contract drafting, and business law at the University of Alberta. Douglas has published two textbooks: one on international law and the other on international business transactions.
Douglas has been named Edmonton’s Favourite Lawyer and has been awarded the Pringle/Royal Sessional Teaching Excellence Award.
