EDMONTON, Alberta – Oilersnation.com, an Edmonton-based online phenom co-founded by entrepreneurs Jay Downton and Clark Murray, has teamed up with the HGA Group to build, support, and grow local companies.
“Working alongside Oilersnation really allows us to bring out all of our services in full force to help an icon of the local business scene,” said Shawn Tully, one of the founding partners of the HGA Group.
“It is the perfect fit for us, and we can’t wait to see the great things we can do together in the future,” added Quentin Gardiner, another of HGA’s founding partners.
With Downton’s connection to an empire of local companies, the HGA Group is exactly what these businesses need to grow and to create an environment for local entrepreneurs to chase their dreams— and find success.
“[HGA] is where I go to get some real help and help put out some big fires that I create on my journey in business,” said Downton.
Downton is heavily involved in businesses across the city, including Oodle Noodle, Little Brick Cafe, and the River Valley Company. Wearing so many hats, Downton needed to consolidate the services that his businesses required to grow with a single company, and that’s where the idea to partner with the HGA Group began.
“When starting Oilersnation back in 2007 we didn’t know anything,” Downton said. “It was all passion, all from the heart.”
The HGA Group empowers passionate entrepreneurs like the founders of Oilersnation with business services and advice ranging from accounting, legal, insurance, human resources, marketing, I.T. support, finance, and wealth management.
“You don’t need to know everything about business,” Downton continued, “You need to work on the things that drive you, . . . the passion for your business. HGA is there to support you for everything else.”
We look forward to taking Edmonton by storm with this partnership. Stay tuned!
